I challenged myself to use Design D in my Project Life this week - I know it's not a huge challenge for most people, but I don't usually use this design. I generally print my vertical pictures 3x4. I've got some cute horizontal 4x3 cards that have been gathering dust though. Time to use them! I'm still on a Kraft kick, so I used lots of cards and colors inspired by that kit.
Full spread: camping, my mother-in-law sent me new succulents, Joe and I went on 3 walks this week, we lost the Powerball jackpot, I got my nails done, and we tried a new coffee.
Left Side:
Joe unexpectedly had to change his brake pads while we were camping, so I added a little puffy rain cloud. I got a marker (called a Slick Writer) to write on photos, so I tried it out. It's great - no smudges!
I peeled part of the label off the new coffee bag - it was the perfect size for a 3x4 card. A small piece of washi keeps it adhered to the card.
Right side:
I used several pieces of a thin washi tape to make a background for this picture, then used a second washi to make a mat for it.
I added some Studio Calico cork stickers to these 3x4 cards to make them stand out. I can't get enough of these stickers!
I love reading each and every comment! Be sure to keep up with me on Instagram, Pinterest, and
I LOVE that owl! Too cute!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it though??
DeleteYes that owl is cute!
ReplyDeleteI like using Design D but actually don't have lots of horizontal 3x4 cards.
The horizontal cards are definitely harder to find!
DeleteSuch great pages, with lots of cute details...like that owl!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Amy!
Deletethese are awesome PL pages... love that owl.. thanks for sharing...
ReplyDeleteThanks Elisa!
DeleteI have a hard time with Design D too. I just out of habit usually make them 3X4s, 2 on a 4X6 and develop like that. Also, I don't have many horizontal journaling cards so that makes it hard for me to fill all those cells too. I just love that puffy cloud sticker!
ReplyDeleteI do the same things Katie! That cloud sticker is from Heidi Grace - I got it at Joann's.
