Project Life Weeks 16 & 17

Sunday, June 29, 2014

Hello! Today I'm sharing weeks 16 & 17. Welcome new friends (and welcome back, old friends). Thanks for following along with Katina's Project Life blog hop. You should have hopped from Leigh's blog. Hop to Sandy's blog next for more PL inspiration.

This time I used a 4x4 Instagram page - I love the colors in this We R Memory Keepers "Inked Rose" set. I rediscovered how much I love the Blush PL kit, and I think the colors go well with Inked Rose.

Left side: reading on my Kindle, a new driveway, Easter baskets, and the most beautiful lamp ever! Got it at Target. ;)

I love this little 2x2 card with some cork stuck behind it.

Right side:

I didn't quite know what to do with several cutout cards in the Inked Rose set. Turns out a regular 3x4 card fits behind that opening perfectly!

I had to use my favorite Thickers to celebrate turning 33!

Do you like the 4x4 and 2x2 cards or do you prefer to stick with 3x4 and 4x6?

Lately I've Been....

  • working on Project Life. Nowhere close to being "caught up" but it feels good to do some spreads.
  • updating the look of the blog - what do you think? I heart it.
  • going to yoga very week. And then I skipped a week :( Going back next week for sure... I feel great when I'm doing yoga on a regular basis.
  • looking forward to my husband's family reunion this weekend.
  • planning a couple of day trips to Roan Mountain (rhododendron festival) and Bays Mountain (they have baby wolves up there!)
  • And maybe we'll get lucky and get to eat at Shatley Springs (last weekend, their well was messed up so there was no water to run the restaurant or the bathrooms... what are the chances?! lol)
  • I finally bought an Erin Condren life planner... been wanting one for a long time. If you want one as well, use this link to save yourself $10!! (You sign up on the site, get a $10 coupon emailed very quickly, and then apply it to your purchase. Easy!)
What's up with you? I'm considering doing a summer manifesto, but I'm still very much in the planning phase of it.

Project Life Weeks 13, 14, 15

Monday, June 16, 2014

Moving right along... I combined weeks 13, 14, and 15 and made a little insert for the weeks. Love how it turned out!

Full spread and front of insert:

Left hand side: I used some awesome washi on the title card this week. It's from Pinkfresh Studio.

I LOVE this gold letterpress card I bought from Elise's new Etsy store FeedYourCraft :)

I cut down a page protector to make this smaller insert. It's all about my newfound love, yoga.

And a close up of a super cute small button I also purchased from Elise's shop.

Right side and back of insert: (pretend like you don't see that big green rubber band on the left side! ha!)

Back of insert:

Right hand side:

What's your latest Etsy purchase?

Believe in yourself card

Tuesday, June 10, 2014

I made a quick card the other day... perfect for a friend that needs a little pick-me-up :)

I just cut down some 12x12 scrapbook paper from My Mind's Eye, added some washi, and a MAMBI clear sticker from Michael's. I added a few sequins here and there to make the card sparkle a little bit.

DIY Utensil Pack

Friday, June 6, 2014

Today I have a quick and easy project to show you! I used Jillibean Soup Birthday Bisque to make a little utensil pack!

I used a Cameo Silhouette cut file to create this little bag. You could make a few of these for your next cookout, birthday party, or baby shower. A fun napkin could be folded up and tucked behind the silverware too.

I made a paper medallion and used a circle punch to make the center for the medallion. Chipboard embellishments would also look cute on the bag!

Just place the bags in a basket for your guests to pick up as they go through the buffet line... Or add names to the bags and use them as place settings!

Project Life Weeks 11 and 12

Tuesday, June 3, 2014

So here's weeks 11 and 12. Yeah. I'm behind. I'm catching up though, mostly by combining weeks and moving on. I think I like combining weeks better than doing 1 page spreads of individual weeks...   I like to pick a color scheme for each spread and this way my pages look more cohesive.

I think these are all Studio Calico cards? Maybe.

Left side: I about died when I opened a SC kit and flipped through the cards to that "right meow" card - it's one of my favorite sayings and I literally LOL'd.

I tried something different to mark the dates this time. I have so many little tiny bits that I haven't used... so I picked up random things and stuck them down on the calendar.

And I used up an entire pack of those little star sequins.

So good!
