Dream Big

I had to make a layout about the best day ever at Universal - the day Joe and I wore matching shirts!!! This happened on our October 2017 trip and was so so fun.

I used Crate Paper "Good Vibes" paper and die cuts on this layout.

I had this pompom trim in my stash - perfect color!

Here's the story:

The die cut pack had some cute tear apart tickets in it:

Project Life: Weeks 47-52

Friday, February 9, 2018

I'm caught up and finished with Project Life 2017. I ordered my 12x12 prints through Persnickety Prints and put them in my album.  I love this method!

We decided that our Christmas present to each other would be a trip to Disney and Universal (gotta get our money's worth on those annual passes!) so we left on Black Friday and spent a few days in Orlando. I like to do these quick trip recap pages and then make 12x12's about some photos.

Since I do December Daily, my December pages are a bit of a repeat, but they're super easy to document. I mostly just chose my favorite photos from each week and then popped them into the app. My PL album would feel incomplete if I didn't have pages for December.

I cannot resist some of these older Studio Calico sets that are showing up in the PL App these days... they're only 99 cents! I've always loved that "my brain has too many tabs open" card.

I usually wait until the end of the year to make my cover page, and I *love* this year's page!! I stole this idea from someone in a Facebook group. I chose photos that represented what we did in 2017 - lots of travel and adventures!

Project Life 2017: Weeks 41-46

Wednesday, February 7, 2018

Today I've got a few more pages of Project Life 2017 to share with you. I'm so close to being done with 2017! Have I mentioned how much I love this method of memory keeping?

We took a vacation this week and went to Universal Orlando so we could attend Halloween Horror Nights. I have been a scaredy cat about going to this event for years, but I'm actually glad we went now. We had a blast and I would totally go again.

This page will be cut in half and put into a 6"x12" insert with the Universal stuff on the front, and Disney stuff on the back.

Disney recap:

Week 43 has some private journaling that I'm not sharing here on the inter webs. But it's still a pretty page :)

We went camping in Pigeon Forge and saw Dolly Parton at Dollywood!!! WHAT?! This page will be cut in half to make a 6" x 12" insert.

January Book Report

Monday, February 5, 2018

So my goal is to read 60 books this year. That's just slightly over 1 book per week and as long as I can read an average of 5 books per month, I'll meet my goal. You can keep up with my progress on Goodreads and I'd love to be friends if you are on there!

The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins - I actually listened to this one on Audible and loved it. It's a great kick in the butt to get stuff done.

Rich People Problems by Kevin Kwan - This was the third book in the Asian series by Kevin Kwan. Fast paced, fluff reading at its finest.

Fellside by M.R. Carey - I didn't love this book as much as I loved The Girl With All the Gifts by the same author, but it was still very very good!

The Rules of Magic by Alice Hoffman - Love love love this book! I made my mom read it too. I can't wait for more books in this series. And I definitely need to read more by this author. I liked this one too, but she has TONS of other books.

Be Frank With Me by Julia Claiborne Johnson - I honestly don't recommend this one. The whole time I was reading it, I kept asking myself "why are you reading this? Put it down." But then I didn't and before I knew it, I was 75% done and wanted to see how it ended. Lame.

The Whole Town's Talking by Fannie Flagg - cute story but not what I expected!

Project Life App 2018: Weeks 1-4

Friday, February 2, 2018

I loved using the Project Life app last year so much that I'm continuing in the same manner this year. One page per week. I had time to do so many 12x12s last year because the app frees up a lot of time for me. Have you tried it yet?

This year I'm using the Everyday PL card collection for my title cards. UNLESS I like the Project 52 Rad collection ones better (whenever they get to the app. I haven't seen them so I don't know if I like them or not). Last year I used a collection with a grayer background and I like this white based kit much better.

The goal is to weed thru my pics every week and then make the page right then. So far, so good. I wasn't super diligent about this last year and got "behind".

When I have a lot to document during the week, I use a "round up" card... I have several things listed on the pink Agenda card on the bottom row.
How are you documenting every day life in 2018?
