Project Life Week 27

Thursday, August 28, 2014

Another bright and pretty week. I don't usually mix pink and red, but I think it worked this time. And how about those wood grain 3x4 cards from Simple Stories?!

Left side: bathroom renovations, a new tree supply place for Joe, and I actually read a book (it's been too long).

I adore this 4x6 card from Heidi Swapp's "Favorite Things" core kit.

Just added a few enamel dots to this polka dot card.

Right side: a 4th of July party, a hug from a sweet pup, and some goals I'm working on.

Still loving the Print n Play kit from Stephanie Adams.

  2. Looks really good. And I think red and pink can be pals, they don't always need the spotlight alone.

  3. Super cute pages Emily :) Love the reds and pinks together. Really cute goal card I like that it's been crossed off makes for added fun on the page

    1. I've been able to do a couple other things on that list too (obviously not the much-needed Facebook detox, but still...)

    2. I haven't been on FB near as much as I use to be so that has helped with my crafting time. Probably get on about once a day but that is sometimes just to check out the groups.

  4. I love the bright colors, and the woodgrain. Very nice! I think this is why I love looking at other peoples' PL pages - they're always so interesting and detailed and different! Love that you have lots of journaling. That's an important part for me too, almost more than the photos sometimes.

    1. Thanks, Anandi! I do like to include lots of journaling when I can. Sometimes the picture can trigger the memory, but it might not be enough when I'm 80, lol! I love looking at other peoples' PL pages too!

  6. Great pages, love the mix of supplies you used and your photos. I would never have thought Pink and Red but it really works well together.

  7. I like how the colors you use compliment the photos and don't overwhelm the page. PL sometimes seems too busy for my brain, but all of yours (I went back a ways) seem really balanced. Loved your details too.

    1. Yes, PL can get super busy really fast... I try to tone that down a bit. I think having white borders on the photos has given me a cleaner, cohesive look to my pages. I started printing with borders at the end of 2013.
