Christmas Pocket Letter

Thursday, December 24, 2015

One of the Facebook groups I frequent had a little Pocket Letter swap. I used one of my favorite paper collections, Kringle and Co from American Crafts, to make these letters.

This is my favorite patterned paper from the collection!

I tucked embellishments, a note, and some tea behind the decorated inserts.

I used little words from an October Afternoon sticker sheet to make this pocket.

I'll be back soon to show you some non-Christmas themed gifts I made. I hope you and your family has a very Merry Christmas!!

I have more pocket letters to share today. These things are addictive!

I made this one using Studio Calico papers.  I stamped some Ali Edwards words, included a bookmark, and some kitty stickers. I stitched that ampersand using a We R Memory Keepers stencil I bought a few months ago.

I used the 5th & Frolic 6x6 paper pad. I like the colors in this collection!

Basic Grey has always been one of my favorite manufacturers. I love how this pocket letter made of their Soleil line

I picked up a paper pad called "Just Splendid" by My Mind's Eye at Michael's the other day. I love all the patterns in this collection!!

Pocket Letters

I have some more pocket letters to show you! I also started a Pinterest board about Pocket Letters. I'll be pinning examples, finished projects, tips, ideas, and suggestions. Follow me to keep up with it all!

This pocket letter went to a true kindred spirit - she likes all things bohemian, reading, yoga, and more. We're practically long lost sisters. I used the Simple Life collection from Echo Park. It was designed by Deena Rutter, who also made the Coral Project Life kit.

I love these little canvas stickers!

This went out to a vintage-loving friend.

This last one was for a friend from Instagram. From her feed, I can tell she likes white with bright, happy colors. I hope I captured that with the "Sweet Girl" line from Echo Park.

I filled this pocket with stamped images and print and cuts I made on my Silhouette.

I've had fun making these little mini book marks and inserting them into pockets. I'm finally using up some twine!

Pocket Letters

Have you heard about Pocket Letters? I stumbled across a picture on Instagram and immediately fell in love. Basically it's a way to use pocket scrapbooking to write pen pals. I'm doing one time swaps instead of ongoing pen pals, but you can do either! It's standard to use baseball card dividers but some people are using different sizes.

I used a Simple Stories 6x6 paper pad to make this kit. Since these are one time swaps, I'm including a small "About Me" in each letter.

This is My Mind's Eye Market Street collection. I also used some gold MAMBI stickers. I included things like paper clips, washi, stickers, and tea.

I used pop dots to attach these wood veneers. Hopefully the recipient can remove them easily if she wants to use them in her scrapbooking.

I had some scraps leftover from Crate Paper's On Trend collection.

I had fun using die cuts to make filler cards.
