Project Life 2013 - Week 34

Wednesday, September 11, 2013

Here's my Week 34 - Please excuse these horrible photos. I took some photos the other day, but they turned out really dark. So I retook them. These turned out to have a slight glare. Sigh! Anyways - I used Echo Park's 'Happy Camper' collection and a few coordinating cards from my PL stash.

We went camping for the first time at Roan Mountain State Park. It was beautiful. Joe had never been
there. We plan on going back next summer when the rhododendrons are in bloom.

Full spread:

I love this puffy geotag sticker from My Mind's Eye Cut and Paste.

Right side:

How cute is this little fox?

I used some cute little arrow stickers to draw attention to the salamander Joe found on our hike.

Dr Seuss Project Life Cards

Monday, September 9, 2013

I joined a little Project Life card swap on Facebook and I'm participating in 2 swaps this month. I'll make enough cards for the girls in my group, and will get several cards back! The first is a Dr. Seuss quote swap.

I cut up my favorite paper from Crate Paper's 'The Pier' and made 3x4 cards. I printed the quote on vellum and attached it to the card using washi tape. I tried several different ones before I found my favorite - which do you like best??

I ended up using the gold polka dot washi. Enamel dots and Studio Calico cork stickers were the perfect finishing touch!

What is your favorite embellishment to add to your Project Life cards?

30 Lists - September 2013

Friday, September 6, 2013

Hi! Have you decided to participate in September's 30 Lists? It's so fun! I made a minibook from Glitz Design's 'Wild and Free' collection and I absolutely love it! I'm using some new washi tape from My Mind's Eye's Cut and Paste 'Adorbs' line and some Project Life 'Blush' cards to document my lists. I'm trying to do the list each day - quickly - so I can finish this project in September. So far, so good!

I'm posting (almost) daily on Instagram if you want to follow along.

Project Life 2013 - Week 33

Thursday, September 5, 2013

Week 33 was a fun week - it's when Mom and I went to CKC Charlotte. I had to add an insert to this week since I had so many pictures and things to document. I used We R Memory Keepers 'Chalkboard' line and the 5th and Frolic Project Life kit for color inspiration this week.

Left page and front of insert:

Left side: flu shots arrived at work, a squirrel made a mess on the back porch, my continued obsession with marshmallows:

Front of insert: I wanted to keep the front of the program, so I just cut it in half and slipped it in two 4x6 spots:

I cut the picture small so it fit into the doodled frame on a WRMK journaling card.

I added a quick note and a picture to the back of a Kraft card from last week.

Back of insert and Right side:

Back of insert:

I love how this Chic tags journaling card looks on top of the WRMK patterned card. Too cute!

Missing You card

Tuesday, September 3, 2013

Another excuse to use my little flower frog!

I made this "missing you" card for a friend that had knee surgery. She's been off work for a while, and we're really missing her! I started this card during one of the classes Mom and I took at CKC Charlotte. I added the #imissyou when I got home. My friend and I have an inside joke of talking back and forth with hashtags, so this sentiment was perfect!

The paper, buttons, and "sweet memories" sticker are from Fancy Pants "Park Bench" line. The alphas are October Afternoon.
