Crafty Blog Hop

Monday, August 4, 2014

Good morning! I was invited to participate in a different sort of blog hop this week by Elise at Feed Your Craft. She shared her answers last week. I'll be telling you about my creative process, and I've picked some inspirational pictures to show you too.

1. What am I working on right now?
Getting caught up on Project Life, writing down ideas to include in my Camping mini book, and considering starting an Index Card a Day project. I have a Rolodex I bought quite a while ago and I'd love to make cards with quotes, new techniques, and favorite embellishments. I've been missing Smashbooks for a while too - I have lots of ideas I haven't completed in those books!

2. How long does it take to create a project?
It really varies. I tend to work on ongoing projects (like Project Life and Smashbooks). When I make a scrapbook page, I tend to start it one evening and finish it the next day. Sometimes I like to think about it before gluing everything down.

3. What are my fave things I love to create with at the moment?
Gold embellishments,  6x6 paper pads, and MAMBI clear stickers.

4. How does my writing/creating process work?
For Project Life, I look at my calendar and Momento app entries, print all my pics, spread them out on the table, and pick a color scheme or kit to work with that week. For scrapbook pages, I usually have a picture that I love... then I look through my Pinterest boards to see if I've pinned a layout that speaks to me.

5. What inspires me?
Blogs, Pinterest, Instagram, bold patterns, bright colors, bohemian clothes, vintage things, nature.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look into my creative process. I have 3 bloggers that you can visit for inspiration...

I've recently found the blog Happy Scrappy Appy and I'm loving the beautiful 12x12's that Rachel creates.

Tina at Tina's Scrap Corner gets a ton of pages done by creating her own counterfeit kit every month. One day I'm going to try it!

I love the cards, color schemes, and the 8x8 pages from Lisa at Blackbird Darlin.

I love reading each and every comment! Be sure to keep up with me on Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook!

  6. Great getting to know more about you Emily and have to say I have one of those Rolodex's as well. Snagged mine brand new when my company phased out a building. I bought a spellbinders Rolodex dieto use for it but that's as far as I made it.
