Magic Kingdom

Tuesday, May 30, 2017

Y'all! This is my new favorite layout EVER. Look at the pretty colors!

I had a long 4 day weekend so we had plans... but rain came into the forecast. We cancelled those plans and headed to Disney for the weekend. It was a whirlwind trip, but it was awesome!

I used Pink Paislee Oh My Heart collection for this layout. I used a Mickey Mouse punch on a patterned paper and a die cut page from the paper pad. Love, love, love!

Eiffel Tower part 2

Thursday, May 25, 2017

One challenge I participated in on National Scrapbook Day was over at Paper Issues. The challenge was to make a black and white layout + use 1 color.

I trimmed down a PL card, added the perfect die cut to it, and created a pocket for our tickets.

Eiffel Tower part 1

Monday, May 22, 2017

The weather wasn't the best on the day we went to the Eiffel Tower. It had been raining all morning (thank goodness for packable down jackets and rain jackets!) but the rain did stop about 30 minutes before our tour. We originally just bought tickets to the second level, but got third floor tickets there for about 6 euros. It was SO COLD on the top!! At first I refused to go out there (that's when Joe took that funny picture of himself) but he convinced me to come out of course.

I like this little embellishment cluster.

I found this orange ticket in a little package.. maybe from October Afternoon? I added a couple of orange aspects to this layout purely so I could incorporate the ticket!

Buckingham Palace

Thursday, May 18, 2017

After checking out Westminster area, we headed over to Buckingham Palace.

This little guard sticker was the perfect embellishment!

My 2017 album is a mix of the PL app, physical PL, and full size layouts. This physical PL page will go right beside of this layout.

Mind the Gap

Monday, May 15, 2017

I made a few layouts on National Scrapbook Day and will be showing them to you here! I mostly concentrated on pages about our March trip to London & Paris.

First up was all about our first Tube ride in London. We loved how prompt, convenient, and easy the Tube was! And of course, we remembered that voice saying "mind the gap" whenever the doors opened.

I found this sketch on Pinterest and love how the page turned out. And how about that flair? I couldn't resist those when I was them in a tourist shop.

How do you feel about mixing silver and gold? I found this globe after I had already used the gold trimmed PL card. I decided it was fine.

Westminster Abbey

Thursday, May 11, 2017

After checking into the hotel and storing our luggage, the first thing we did in London was walk across Westminster Bridge and head to Westerminster Abbey.

I've been wanting to use the Christine Herrin travel PL kit for a while now and this layout was my first chance! I love the colors, the font, and well basically everything about it.

Is this sticker not ADORABLE? I had to get them (obviously!)

I'm always wanting to keep memorabilia and ephemera and use them on pages.. but sometimes they're hard to incorporate. I used a textured transparency to make a little pocket to hold a postcard of  our favorite section of the Abbey, a guide map, and our tickets.

I love this flair!
